Winter Weather Advisory Tonight

Starting tomorrow, however, some warm temperatures will start to move in.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for western and southeast New Hampshire from 10 p.m. Tuesday through 3 a.m. Wednesday.

Warm air streaming in over cold air is expected to create freezing rain and sleet tonight into Wednesday morning. As the warmer air begins to move in, the mixed wintry precipitation is expected to change to rain.

There will only be about one-tenth of an inch of ice, but that's enough to create icy roads, especially if untreated, which could lead to some dangerous travel conditions.

Later on Wednesday, the same warm front is expected to push temperatures into the low 50s. The warm spell will be short-lived, however, with temperatures expected to drop back into the low 30s by the weekend.
