Woman Arrested for DWI with 2 Kids in Car

The incident occurred on Friday afternoon

A Merrimack woman is charged with driving while intoxicated and child endangerment after she allegedly crashed her car while drunk with two children in the vehicle.

Jennifer Walker, 38, of 31 Mallard Point is charged with two counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. She was released on $4,000 personal recognizance bail and she is scheduled to be arraigned in Merrimack District Court on Feb. 11.

According to Merrimack Police, emergency responders were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with unknown injury on the Daniel Webster Highway on Friday, Jan. 31 at 5:18 p.m. Upon making contact with one of the drivers, later identified as Walker, police observed signs of impairment.

Following a brief investigation that included field sobriety tests, Walker was arrested and transported to the Merrimack Police Department for processing. One of the drunken driving charges and both child endangerment charges were due to the fact that Walker had two passengers in her vehicle who were under the age of 6 at the time of the accident.
