Concord Community Music School to Celebrate Anniversary
Concerts of folk, Broadway, jazz, Nepali, and classical music will fill the day as the Concord Community Music School celebrates on May 6.

From Concord Community Music School: Student concerts of folk, Broadway, jazz, Nepali, and classical music will fill the day as the Concord Community Music School opens its doors for the annual Performathon & Community Open House, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, at 43 Wall Street in downtown Concord.
This event, part of the Musical School’s 32rd Annual Anniversary Weekend, is free and open to the public. Musical participants and audience members alike are welcome to join in the day’s festivities, tour the Music School and try something new at the instrument “petting zoo.” The Music School is also celebrating the grand re-opening of its beautiful Community Room and teaching spaces, renovated following a January sprinkler-pipe flood that caused severe damage to the facility.
New this year, the Music School’s Anniversary Weekend coincides with the Capital Arts Fest, a downtown-wide celebration of performing and visual arts and culture taking place on Saturday, May 6. Visit Phenix Plaza (40 North Main Street in Concord, in front of The Works) between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to see our Himalaya Heritage Music Classes, the Sunflower Singers chorus, jazz and folk ensembles, and student singer-songwriters. The Songweavers Women’s Community Chorus wraps up the day downtown at City Plaza in front of the State House.
