Concord Corrections Escapee Captured: Officials
Rachel Read, convicted of a fentanyl charge, escaped a Concord halfway house, according to the New Hampshire Department of Corrections,

CONCORD, NH -- A convict who escaped a Concord halfway house Thursday was captured the same day, according to the New Hampshire Department of Corrections. Rachel Read (pictured), 33, of Swanzey, left the Shea Farm Transitional Housing Facility for an appointment Thursday but never returned, according to DOC spokesman Jeffrey Lyons.
Read was returned to the New Hampshire Correctional Facility for Women in Concord upon her capture. She was charged with felony escape, punishable by up to 7 years in prison. Read had been serving a sentence of up to 4 years on a fentanyl charge and had the possibility of parole this year.
