Concord Driver Flies Off Highway, Crashes In River
NH State Police said a woman crashed over a guard rail on Interstate 93 and flew into the Merrimack River.

CONCORD, NH -- A driver flew off Interstate 93 and crashed into the Merrimack River in Concord Monday night, police said. The driver, identified only as a woman, was critically injured. The crash happened along I-93 northbound near Exit 14 at about 5:30 p.m.
The woman was driving a sport utility vehicle when, for an unknown reason, she veered off the road into a field along the river, according to New Hampshire State Police Sergeant Gregg De Luca.
"The vehicle continued north through the field, where the vehicle eventually became air borne, and crashed into the river," De Luca said in a statement.

Concord firefighters pulled the woman from the wreckage and she was transported to Concord Hospital.
The crash remained under investigation.
