Concord Police Investigating Fatal Crash Involving SUV, Pedestrian; Loudon Road Reopens: Follow-Up
A woman taken to Concord Hospital after a crash near East Side Drive on Monday morning has died; police seek witnesses or video footage.
CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating a fatal crash on Loudon Road near the intersection with East Side Drive on Monday morning.
Just after 11:30 a.m., police and fire and rescue teams were sent to Loudon Road for a report of a crash involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian. Police dispatch reported it might be a hit-and-run and witnesses were starting CPR; fire dispatch confirmed there was one person injured. A fire commander said the pedestrian was “on the ground” and “CPR was in progress.” Dispatch later stated the vehicle involved, a Porsche Cayman SUV, did not leave the scene. The driver of the vehicle was reportedly a teenage girl, according to scanner chatter.
Police immediately shut down the westbound side of the road.

A fire commander requested a trauma alert at Concord Hospital for a woman in her early 50s and the victim was taken to the hospital. An officer also went to the hospital.
The victim later died, according to Lt. Thomas Yerkes of the Concord Police Department's Bureau of Investigations.

News 603 posted a video from the crash scene on Facebook.
Police issued an alert stating both sides of the road would be closed to traffic from the East Side Drive and Canterbury Road intersection to Burns Avenue for at least several hours.
The roadway was reopened about 5 p.m.
