MANCHESTER, NH -- A 23-year-old driver was killed along Interstate 93 in Manchester Sunday morning after police said he veered off the road and slammed into a tree. Christopher Gonzales, 23, of Manchester, was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash happened on the northbound side of the highway by I-293. Police said speeding was likely a factor in the crash.Gonzales was driving 1998 Jaguar XJ8 at about 12:45 a.m. when he "failed to negotiate the left hand curve of the roadway and lost control of the vehicle," New Hampshire State Police Lieutenant Bryan Trask said in a statement. Trask added, "Speed is a factor, however all aspects of the incident remain under investigation."Photo credit: Shutterstock
