Hooksett Man Arrested On Child Sexual Assault Charges

Police arrested Zachary Ackles on a felonious sexual assault charge after an investigation reportedly involving a child under 13.

HOOKSETT, NH — Police in Hooksett have arrested a local resident on a felony child sexual assault charge.

Zachary Ackles, 40, of Hooksett, was charged with felonious sexual assault after he turned himself in to police on a warrant Aug. 8. He was taken to the Merrimack County Jail and held, police said. Ackles was released on cash bail Aug. 11.

“The arrest warrant was issued after the Hooksett Police Department conducted an investigation involving a victim under the age of 13 years old,” Lt. Valerie Lamy of the Hooksett Police Department said.
