CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Department of Corrections is asking for the public’s help finding a fugitive felon who they believe may be “armed and dangerous” with “violent tendencies.”

Cory Silvano Nickerson is 41, Black, about 6 feet, 3 inches tall, and weighs around 220 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair. Nickerson has “tribal” tattoos on his right arm, shoulder, and back. He also has a scar in the back of his head.

A warrant was issued for his arrest by the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Department.

Nickerson, officials said, was convicted of control of premises where drugs are kept and failed to report to probation, which resulted in the warrant. He also was accused of failure to appear in Merrimack County Superior Court on a felony in possession of a deadly weapon charge and in Manchester District Court on driving after suspension and resisting arrest or detention charges.

“His criminal record consists of possession of narcotics, larceny, operating after suspension, failing to appear, assault and battery, violations of probation, operating under the influence, and possession with intent to distribute narcotics,” investigators said. “Nickerson has a criminal history that includes selling illegal substances, possessing dangerous weapons, and resisting arrest, so caution should be used.”

Nickerson’s criminal history dates back to 2017 when he was charged with driving under the influence in Portsmouth in September of that year. He filed to challenge the district court ruling in April 2018 but withdrew the appeal a month later.

In August 2023, he was accused of felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, stolen firearm, reckless operation, and a subsequent drug possession charge out of Londonderry. In January 2024, he was accused of drug possession and driving charges in Windham. Nickerson was also accused of two counts of felon in possession of a dangerous weapon after an incident in Franklin in March 2024.

In July 2024, three of the drug charges were dismissed without prejudice. After several court hearings and failing to appear at a pretrial meeting in October 2024 in the Londonderry case, the charges were nolle prossed. He was also indicted on the Franklin weapon charges in October 2024. On Feb. 25, he pleaded guilty to a controlled premises charge in the Windham case and received a 12-month jail sentence and a $434 fine, both suspended for two years with one year of probation. Nickerson was accused of a probation violation in April connected to the Windham plea and failed to appear at a hearing on June 12. He also failed to appear at the dispositional conference hearing for the two Franklin felon-in-possession charges.

Warrants were then issued for his arrest.
