Police Investigating Fight Reported In Downtown Concord

Two men were reportedly fighting at a bus depot located near the intersection of North Main and Park streets on Wednesday afternoon.

CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating a fight with injury reported on North Main Street on Wednesday afternoon.

Just before 1 p.m., dispatch took a report about a fight at the bus stop not far from the intersection with Park Street. At least two men, in their 40s and 50s, were reportedly fighting. One officer heading to the scene reported seeing a potential suspect who he knew appeared to be walking from the scene.

When the first officer arrived, a man could be heard over the radio saying, “I ain’t going nowhere.”

Police requested Concord fire and rescue teams to come to the scene.

One man was reportedly 64 years old and out on probation, while the second man was in his mid-30s.

“And do we have other units coming?,” one officer asked.

Later, the officer said things were under control, but one man was “yelling a little bit.”

Fire and rescue teams arrived to evaluate at least one person and then they cleared the scene.
