A helicopter followed the vehicle to Manchester, where spike strips were used on I-293. The vehicle was disabled at Valley and Elm streets.
MANCHESTER, NH — New Hampshire State Police attempted to stop a BMW on Interstate 93 north of Concord on Saturday for erratic operation and speed.
The vehicle accelerated at speeds that were more than 110 mph, according to state police. Due to the traffic and speed, state troopers discontinued pursuit. A state police helicopter was in the area for the NASCAR event and continued to follow the vehicle from above.
The vehicle merged onto Interest 293 south in Hooksett and continued at a high rate of speed. Troopers set up tire deflation devices on I293 near the Granite Street crossover. The vehicle struck the devices and the tires began deflating.
