Deceased Man Found Near Rail Trail In Manchester Near Perimeter Road
A man was pronounced dead by responders who were called to the rail trail for an unresponsive man. The area is frequented by the homeless.
MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester Fire and AMR ambulance responded to the rail trail in South Manchester just South of Perimeter Road Sunday for an unresponsive person.
The person was located slightly off the rail trail, according to sources, and the person was pronounced dead as soon as responders arrived at the person's location. Firefighters requested the assistance of Manchester Fire Rescue 1 and the fire department side-by-side utility vehicle. Manchester Police and the New Hampshire State Medical Examiners office was also requested to the scene.
The area where the person was found is frequently a location of small encampments of homeless people.

Manchester Police identified the person as David Lessard, 48, and said he was homeless.
A local funeral home arrived at the scene and transported the body from the scene.
