Fire Located In Derry After Firefighters Respond To Smoke Call

DERRY, NH — On October 9, 2020 at approximately 4:15 p.m. Derry Fire responded to a report of smoke in the building at Lucky Panda Restaurant on East Broadway.

The Battalion Chief arrived to smoke coming out of unit 2 of the address which is a vape shop which was out of business. Firefighters stretched lines, and set up ladders while other ensured everyone was out of the building.

Firefighters discovered the actual fire was in unit 2, but smoke was going into the restaurant.

Crews knocked down the fire, and set up ventilation to evacuate smoke from both businesses.

East Broadway was closed for more than an hour while firefighters has hoses run across the roadway.

The restaurant will remain closed until the Health Department clears them to open.
