Jeb Bradley Eyes Higher Office?

The will-he-or-won't-he talk has begun, of course. Will Senate Majority Leader run for governor or congress? We catch up with Jeb Bradley and eyeball the 2014 field.

State Senate Majority Leader Jeb Bradley, the former congressman for New Hampshire's 1st District, is among those in Concord being mentioned as a possible candidate for higher office in 2014. Is he truly looking?

"I'm focused on my day job at this point," Bradley said in a phone interview.

He is hip-deep in end-of-session business and committees of conference for outstanding legislation, not least of which is the $10.7 billion state budget for 2014-2015. Other state legislators mentioned as candidates in 2014, or actively exploring a bid, including state Sen. Andy Sanborn (R-Bedford) and former House Speaker William O'Brien (R-Mont Vernon). Like O'Brien, former state Sen. Gary Lambert could be a contender for Congress in the 2nd District.
