Londonderry Road Rage Involved Machete, Cops Arrest Merrimack Man
Londonderry police arrested Daniel Reid of Merrimack Tuesday. They accused him of wielding a machete during the incident.
LONDONDERRY, NH — Tuesday at 5:45 pm, 911 received a call for a road rage incident coming off the Everett Tpk North to the Ray Wierczorek parkway near Manchester Airport. According to LPD Capt Cheetham the caller said when merging a vehicle cut them off. The vehicle in the front slammed on their brake, known as brake checking.
One car came adjacent to the other and an item was thrown from a white car, which the caller believed was a wrench.
The vehicles pulled over at Wierczorek parkway and Roundstone Drive. The driver of the white vehicle who threw the item exited his car. The person walked up to the Black Honda Civic which had two people in it. The male driver and female passenger of the civic remained in the car.

The female passenger was on the phone with 911, and the male driver remained inside the car with the door secure. The person later identified as Daniel Reid, pulled out another machete type knife and made threats, according to police.
According to Cheetham, when officers arrived at the scene, Reid had returned the machete to his car and was cooperative with police. The victims had taken video of the incident showing the man with the knife and making threats. After police checked the vehicle, the machete was in clear view, according to Cheetham.

Reid, 30, of Sunset Drive in Merrimack was arrested on a felony criminal threatening with a deadly weapon charge and a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct.
The victims involved in the incident were not physically injured.
