Man Accused Of Reckless Operation After Crashing Pick-Up Truck

Londonderry Firefighters and police officers responded to a truck which hit several trees and closing a roadway

LONDONDERRY, NH - On OCtober 15, 2020 at 6:00 pm multiple calls came in reporting a truck which had crashed into a tree on Gilcreast Rd.

When Londonderry firefighters, EMS and police officers arrived they found a pick-up truck in the woods with heavy damage.

Londonderry EMS evaluated the only occupant of the truck who refused medical treatment.

Londonderry Police identified the driver as Thomas Stanley, 30 of Derry, NH. The initial investigation showed the truck traveling North on Gilcreast Road failed to negotiate a curve. The truck hit multiple trees, and lost a wheel before coming to rest in the woods.

Stanley was charged with reckless operation and released at the scene by Londonderry Police.

The road was closed for about 45 minutes while the scene was processed and Londonderry BP Towing removed the damaged truck from the woods.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
