Cops Say Man Shot At Cops, Took His Own Life After Police Chase In Manchester, Londonderry: Follow-Up
The hours-long incident occurred at the Triangle Mobil on Rockingham Road in Londonderry Tuesday night.

LONDONDERRY, NH — A large police presence at the Triangle Mobil station on Route 28 ended in one person apparently taking their own life after being stopped by police.
According to radio traffic, police attempted to stop a vehicle in Manchester on Tuesday around 9:15 p.m. for unknown reasons. The vehicle continued into Londonderry, where it stopped at the Mobil station. Police surrounded the area and closed it to traffic after the person refused to exit the vehicle. Londonderry firefighters was dispatched to the area to be on standby for a psychiatric issue at the scene, according to the dispatch.
Officers at the scene continued to work to resolve the situation, at one point the subject advised officers he had a weapon, according to radio transmissions. Londonderry officers evacuated any employees and customers from the gas station. Residents in the nearby area were asked to shelter in place at their residences.

During the incident, police were speaking with the person in the vehicle, who is referred to as a man, over the radio.
At two points, Londonderry officers advised over the radio that Manchester officers were firing “pepper balls” into the vehicle. A drone was also deployed to provide a better view of the situation.

Heather Hamel, a public information officer for the department, said the suspect fired his gun at police and an officer returned fire. However, no injuries were sustained during the shooting.
During the several-hour incident, the vehicle is referred to as a truck; however, no specifics are given over the radio.
At about 10:45 p.m., additional resources from the South NH Special Operations Unit arrive at the scene and are directed to report to the command center set up there.
Between 11 and 11:30 pm, radio communication indicates that the person had shot themselves, and EMS is brought to the scene, where they pronounce the person deceased. Based on radio traffic, no shots were fired by officers at the scene. The scene was secured, and the investigation continued. The scene was cleared early Wednesday morning.
At the time of publication, no official information had been released by Manchester police, Londonderry police, or the NH Attorney General's Office.
Over the weekend, a man who fled from Manchester Police was shot and killed.
