Plane Carrying VP Pence Damaged By Bird Remains In Manchester
Air Force II, which was carrying the Vice President, returned to Manchester-Boston Regional Airport damaged Tuesday, and is out of service.
LONDONDERRY, NH — Air Force II Tuesday, carrying Vice President Mike Pence, was leaving the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, when was involved in a birdstrike. The aircraft, with apparent damage to an engine, immediately returned to the airport.

The Vice President was transported safely back to Washington, D.C., utilizing a cargo plane which was at the airport.

On Wednesday, a special crew was flown in to examine the damage to the engine and make an assessment. The plane remains outside Signature Air on the tarmac awaiting repair.
Sources have communicated that the engine will most likely be replaced before the aircraft flies and will remain at the airport for a few days.
