Police Rescue Deer That Broke Through Window Of Local Business

LONDONDERRY, NH - Londonderry Police responded to a very unusual call of breaking and entering Thursday morning at a local auto service facility.

Londonderry Police received a call that a large deer had broken through the window of an overhead garage door at Budget Auto Service LLC on Nashua Rd. When police arrived they found a deer that was located inside the service bay and very frantic. The deer was striking equipment and other glass doors with its antlers trying to break lose.

LPD Conservation Officer Glenn Aprile, and LPD Officer Mueller had dispatchers reach out to the owner of the business to help them gain access to the building. Sam the owner of the business arrived and assisted LPD in unlocking the overhead door.

LPD had additional officers stop traffic on the busy Nashua Rd in both directions not knowing where the deer would run to. The overhead door was raised by the owner and Londonderry Police and the deer ran off into a wooded area close to the garage.

Although the deer had some cuts which appeared to be minor, it was very active and appeared to be able run off with any assistance.

The owner who has never seen anything like this before. The owner his Father is a farmer would have liked to have seen it and would be especially happy the deer was able to run off.
