This Wednesday will mark the 12th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington DC.
To recognize the event, American Legion Post 27 will host a ceremony at 8:46 a.m., the exact time that the attacks first occured.
The event will include remarks followed by a reading of names of those who were killed.
The post's firing detail will then render a 21 gun salute to conclude the ceremony.
The event will take place on the Londonderry Town Common.
