3 People Slashed With Box Cutter At Capital Auto Auction, 1 Arrested

Manchester Police: A dispute over belongings turned physical on Saturday; Bryon Bloomfield, 25, faces first-degree assault charges.

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester Fire, AMR, and police were dispatched to Capital Auto Auction at 190 Londonderry Turnpike for a report of a stabbing Saturday.

Manchester Fire dispatchers advised units to stage away from the scene and wait for police to arrive and secure the scene. Moments later, two additional ambulances and an additional engine were dispatched based on a report of multiple victims with injuries.

Responders arrived at the scene just after 11 a.m. and began giving medical aid to multiple injured people. A Manchester Fire Lieutenant advised dispatch to notify the Elliot Hospital of two patients with “slashing type wounds,” and CMC had one victim with wounds who was stable.

MPD Spokesperson Heather Hamel said that through investigation, police learned that the victims and another man were arguing over belongings, and it became physical. During the altercation, the three people were cut with a box cutter. It is believed the injuries are non-life-threatening, and the victims are expected to recover.

The suspect was located and identified as Bryon Bloomfield, 25, of Manchester, who was arrested and accused of three counts of first-degree assault.

Police remained at the scene for several hours, processing evidence and documenting the scene. It appears the incident took place in the parking lot outside of Capital Auto Auction, but there was not an active auction happening.
