'Stand Your Ground' Repeal Hearing Tuesday

The New Hampshire House of Representatives meets in session on Wednesday, April 24. The state Senate does not have a session this week, but its standing committees are busy with the usual April deluge of bills in a budget year.
Senate Finance Committee budget presentations resume today, April 22, at 9 a.m. in Statehouse Room 103. Agency budgets being discussed include State Liquor Commission and the University System.

Casino Bill. The Joint Committee of Finance and Ways and Means meets this morning in Rooms 210-211 of the Legislative Office Building for the casino bill, Senate Bill 152. The committee convenes at 10 a.m., and subcommittee work includes revenue projections at LOB Room 202.
Casino Work Sessions. This super committee has a busy schedule. Here's a calendar snapshot:
- Revenue subcommittee meets Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., LOB 202. ~ Also meets Thursday, 10 a.m., in same room.
- Impact subcommittee meets Tuesday, 1 p.m., in LOB 208. ~ Also meets Thursday, 10 a.m., in same room.
- Regulations subcommittee meets Tuesday, 2 p.m., LOB 210-211. ~ Also meets Thursday, 10 a.m., in same room.
Stand Your Ground Repeal Bill. The Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to hold a hearing Tuesday on House Bill 135, the bill to repeal the Stand Your Ground provision passed in the last session. The hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. in Statehouse Room 100.
Photo ID. The Senate Public and Municipal Committee is scheduled to hear House Bill 595 on Wednesday at 10:20 a.m. in Room 102 of the Legislative Office Building. This is the bill that proposes repealing the second phase of the state's voter ID law.
