Elderly Nashua Sex Offender Arrested: Police
Nashua police said Arthur Fontaine, convicted of sexual assault in 1994, failed to complete his sex offender registration.

NASHUA, NH — An elderly Nashua sex offender was arrested this week after failing to complete his registration, police said Thursday. Arthur Fontaine, 76, was arrested Wednesday and charged with felony duty to report. He was released on $10,000 bail pending an arraignment next month.
"The Nashua Police Department discovered a convicted Sex Offender (Fontaine) had failed to complete his semi-annual Sex Offender Registration as required," Nashua Police Lieutenant Robert Page said in a statement. "An investigation was initiated by the Special Investigations Division and it was verified that Arthur Fontaine missed his (registration)."
In 1994, Fontaine was convicted of sexual assault in Nashua District Court and he is required to register as a sex offender semi-annually for the rest of his life.

Fontaine will be arraigned February 15.
