Man Charged in Armed Robbery of Neighborhood Market

POP Unit arrested Solomon Sanchez for allegedly robbing the Churchside Market Feb. 23.

On March 13, 2013 at 5:10 p.m., members of the Nashua Police Department’s Problem Oriented Policing Unit arrested Solomon Sanchez, age 35 of 20 Fulton Street apartment B, Nashua. Sanchez was arrested on a warrant issued out of Nashua, charging him with Robbery, a Class A Felony.

On February 23, 2013 at approximately 9:51 p.m., members of the Nashua Police Department’s Uniform Patrol Division responded to the Churchside Market at 56 West Hollis Street for the report of an armed robbery. The clerk was robbed at gunpoint after a man entered the store and demanded the money from the cash register. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money prior to police arrival. Members on the Nashua Police Department’s Criminal
Investigation Division furthered the investigation and developed Sanchez as a suspect. An arrest warrant was subsequently obtained charging Sanchez with robbery, class A felony.

A class A felony is punishable by up to 15 years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. Sanchez was being held at the Nashua Police Department on $75,000 cash bail pending his arraignment at the 9th Circuit Court Nashua District Division on March 14, 2013.
