Man Charged with Strangling Woman, Making Gun Threat

Charges against Joseph Clancy were upgraded due to a prior felony conviction.

Joseph Clancy, 39, of Walnut Street, Nashua, was arrested May 18 for allegedly strangling a woman and threatening her with a gun.

Upon further investigation Clancy’s charges were upgraded due to the fact that he is a convicted felon who should not have had possession of a firearm.
