Man Punched, Strangled Woman: Nashua Police

Nashua police said Ricardo Acevedo, of Hudson, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua man was arrested Sunday on charges he punched and strangled a woman, according to police. Ricardo Acevedo, 33, of Hudson, was charged with two counts of second-degree assault and four counts of assault, all domestic violence-related, according to Nashua police Lieutenant Robert Page.

"The victim, known to Acevedo, reported that Acevedo punched and strangled her," Page said in a statement.

Acevedo was held on $10,000 bail pending an arraignment in Hillsborough County Superior Court.
