Mission Accomplished: Group Brings Hope to Honduras
Tom Lopez updates us on his recent mission trip with a group from Salem's St. Mary and Joseph Parish.
In January we brought you a story about Tom Lopez, who was preparing for a return mission trip to Honduras in February with a group from St. Mary and Joseph Parish in Salem.
Here's an update by Lopez, by the numbers:
This was the 20th year and 22nd mission team organized by Mary Roy. This year's team had 30 people, about half of which had medical background training.

We provided medical care and screening to 520 people at the four clinics and then an additional 100 or so at Escuela Nazereth for special needs students, and a local orphanage. We shipped ahead 1,500 pounds of supplies and brought with us 2,500 pounds, so that was two tons of supplies.
