Nashua Fire: 2 Escape After Smoke Detector Alert
Nashua firefighters extinguished a fire on Lund Street.

NASHUA, NH — Two people escaped a fire at a Nashua home on Lund Street Saturday, fire officials said. Smoke detectors alerted the residents to the fire, which started in a second-story bathroom ceiling fan at about 1 p.m., according to Nashua Deputy fire Chief Glen MacDonald. Flames extended to the wood joists and vent hose in the attic and pieces of burning plastic dripped to the ceramic floor, MacDonald said.
The occupants were not hurt.
