Nashua Fire On Broad Street: 5 Homeless
A fire reportedly broke out in Nashua on Broad Street Friday morning.

NASHUA, NH — Five people were left homeless following a fire in Nashua on Broad Street Friday morning, officials said. The fire broke out in a residential building in the 400-block section of the street at about 10:30 a.m., according to Nashua Deputy fire Chief Karl Gerhard.
The fire appeared to originate where electrical service entered the building, according to Gerhard.
"Eversource was requested to the scene to disconnect the power from the street to the residence," Gerhard said in a statement. "Companies were successful in containing the fire to a small localized area with dry chemical extinguisher while awaiting Eversource. The companies fully extinguished the fire shortly after Eversource arrived and disconnected the power."
