Nashua Police 'Granite Shield' Drug Sweep: 6 Heroin Arrests

Nashua police said six suspects were charged with heroin-related crimes during a "Granite Shield" drug sweep.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua drug sweep this week netted six heroin-related arrests, police announced Thursday. The suspects were identified as Anthony Nieves, Melvin Reyes, Theresa Rodonis, Geronimo Rijo-Guerrero, Amy Manzi and Jeffrey Genet. The arrests were part of an ongoing series of Nashua police drug sweeps under the "Granite Shield" program, a state-funded initiative targeting opioid distribution in communities like Nashua, Manchester, Portsmouth and Salem.

It was the 28th drug sweep in Nashua this year. A total of 156 suspects were arrested in those sweeps. The latest sweep resulted in "individuals ... arrested for various drug crimes, and various crimes frequently associated with criminal behavior related to drug activity," Nashua police Lieutenant Brian Kenney said in a statement.

The sweep was conducted Wednesday. These are the suspects and their charges:

Anthony Nieves, 24, of Nashua, was charged with selling heroin and held on $20,000 bail.

Melvin Reyes, 26, of Nashua, was charged with selling heroin and held on $15,000 bail.

Theresa Rodonis, 43, of Nashua, was charged with criminal liability for the conduct of another involved in selling heroin. She was released on $250 bail.

Geronimo Rijo-Guerrero, 44, of Lawrence, was charged with selling heroin and crack cocaine. He was held in $25,000 bail. Police said he will face enhanced penalties for selling more than 5 grams of heroin.

Amy Manzi, 47, of Nashua, was charged with a probation violation related to an original charge of selling heroin. She was held without bail.

Jeffrey Genet, 20, of Merrimack, was charged with heroin possession and released on $250 bail.

Nieves, Reyes, Rijo-Guerrero and Manzi will be arraigned Thursday; Rodonis and Genet will be arraigned January 4.
