Nashua Jewelry Thief Arrested: Police

Nashua police said Melanie Klier stole a "large" quantity of jewelry from an acquaintance.

NASHUA, NH — A Massachusetts woman was arrested this week on charges she stole a "large" quantity of jewelry from the residence of an acquaintance. Melanie Klier, 40, of Charlton, was arrested Thursday and charged with three counts of felony burglary.

"In April 2017 patrol officers responded to a residence for the report of a burglary," Nashua police Lieutenant Brian Kenney said in a statement. "Officers made contact with the residents who reported a large amount of items, specifically jewelry, to be stolen. Entry was made through an open front porch window."

Kenney said detectives identified Klier as the suspect, as she was a "mutual acquaintance" of the victim.
