Nashua Police: Sex Offender Facebook-Messaged Minor, Arrested

Nashua police said Emmanuel Vazquez, of Merrimack, violated the terms of his sex assault conviction by messaging a juvenile on Facebook.

NASHUA, NH — A sex offender was arrested after messaging a minor on Facebook in Nashua — violating the terms of his conviction, police announced Thursday. Emmanuel Vazquez, 24, of Merrimack, was arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts of registration of online identifiers and duty to inform, both felonies. He was released on $300 bail pending an arraignment.

"The Nashua Police Department learned that (Vazquez) sent a juvenile a Facebook message in Nashua without listing his online identifier on his Sex Offender Registration," Nashua Police Lieutenant Robert Page said in a statement. "Following the investigation, it was determined that Vazquez failed to report two online identifiers to his Sex Offender Registration as required and a warrant was obtained for his arrest."

Page said officers also learned Vazquez was living in Merrimack and not Nashua as reported on his sex offender registration.
