Nashua Schools May Lengthen Days By 14 Minutes
Nashua school officials approved adding 14 minutes to the school day after multiple snowstorms forced closures.

NASHUA, NH — Nashua schools officials this week approved adding 14 minutes to the school day to make up for several snow days this winter. The measure would add 7 minutes to start of the school day and 7 minutes at the end starting February 5. The Nashua Teachers' Union must approve the plan; a vote is scheduled for Wednesday.
If the plan is approved, the last day of school would be June 15 instead of June 20, according to the Union Leader.
Light snow is expected for Nashua Thursday night into Friday, though latest forecasts show it will likely not be enough to force school closures.
