Nashua Walgreens Thief Arrested: Police

Nashua police said Jeffrey Shepard, who has two theft convictions, was arrested again after an incident at a city Walgreens.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua man with two theft convictions was recently arrested again Friday at a city Walgreens, police said. Jeffrey Shepard, 36, was charged with willful concealment and two counts of resisting arrest.

"The store reported that a male subject, later identified as the defendant, had concealed several items from within the store until he was confronted by an employee leaving some of the items behind," Nashua police Lieutenant Craig Allard said in a statement. "The male subject left the store and was later located by patrol officers still in possession of several items that were identified as being stolen from Walgreens. While patrol officers were questioning the defendant he began to walk away and struggle as he was being taken into custody."

Shepard refused bail and was held in custody pending an arraignment at Hillsborough County Superior Court.
