NH Man Stole Car, Crashed 3 Times, Caught At Cumby's: Police

New Hampshire police said Anthony Plourde was intoxicated when he crashed, stole a woman's car in Manchester then went on a rampage south.

HUDSON, NH — An intoxicated New Hampshire man Tuesday morning stole a car in Manchester, crashed in Derry, crashed twice more in Hudson then fled on foot before he was ultimately arrested near a Cumberland Farms, according to police. Anthony Plourde, 22, of Brentwood, faces a host of charges — including driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a crash and theft for the alleged rampage.

The incident started in Manchester sometime around 9 a.m. after Plourde allegedly crashed on Blain Street then stole a woman's black Ford Escape, according to fire photographer Jeffrey Hastings. Hudson police said Plourde made it 20 miles to that town before crashing into two vehicles on Central Street. At least one crash victim suffered minor injuries, police said.
