Remember the Old Man of the Mountain?

The Great Stone Face, Lizzie Borden, Miss NH like you've never seen here, and two more things.

1) Remember the Old Man of the Mountain. Gov. Maggie Hassan has declared today–May 3, 2013–as Old Man of the Mountain Remembrance Day. The stone face, first discovered in 1805, collapsed from the side of Cannon Mountain 10 years ago today.

2) "Lizzie Borden Took an Axe. Or Did She?" If that teaser's not enough, here is some more information about the True Crime Month event at the Nashua Public Library Theater this Sunday, starting at 2 p.m.: Plymouth State University Professor Annette Holba reviews the case in a presentation funded, in part, by the New Hampshire Humanities Council.

3) Senior-itis setting in yet? We saw a sign that time is getting nigh for Nashua high school seniors: Nashua High School South – "All senior week packets must be returned" with payment no later than Friday, May 3.
