Rifle Fired At Nashua Motel 6: Police
Nashua police said a distressed woman fired a rifle in her motel room and was later arrested.

NASHUA, NH — A distressed woman who fired a rifle in her room at the Nashua Motel 6 on Progress Avenue Monday night was taken into custody and hospitalized for treatment. The woman, a 51-year-old from Gloucester, Massachusetts, was also arrested and charged with reckless conduct and receiving stolen property. The incident happened at about 6:30 p.m., according to Nashua Police Captain James Testaverde.
Officers were called to the motel for a report that the woman was suicidal. She was taken into custody and officers later learned she fired a .22-caliber rifle from within her room. No one was hurt in the shooting.
The woman stole the rifle from an acquaintance earlier that day, according to Testaverde. She was held on $10,000 bail pending an arraignment Tuesday at Hillsborough County Superior Court.
