Scott Brown Speaks in Nashua Tonight

Former Mass. Sen. Scott Brown, a survivor of childhood physical and sexual abuse, is to deliver keynote address for Child Advocacy Center of Hillsborough County.

Former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown will deliver the keynote speech at the Child Advocacy Center of Hillsborough County's seventh annual fund-raising gala in Nashua tonight at 9.

The event at the Crowne Plaza is sold out.

"We're honored to have such an inspirational figure speaking at this year's gala," Dan Monfried, board president of the Granite State Children's Alliance, said in a press release. "Our mission is to put young victims of abuse on a path to healing, and Scott Brown is proof that with care and nurturing these children can go on to achieve great things."

Child advocacy centers are community partnerships dedicated to pursuing the truth in child abuse cases and providing social services to child victims.

The Hillsborough program has two Centers serving the County, one in Nashua and another in Manchester. Both centers are accredited by the National Children’s Alliance.

Brown, a Republican, is a Fox News commentator, author and attorney. He has made a half a dozen appearances in New Hampshire this spring. He has said he is not ruling anything out as far as a campaign here in New Hampshire.
