Woman Charged with Forgery
Police arrested Lauren Phillips in connection with a September incident involving forged checks.

Lauren Phillips, 27, no fixed address, was arrested March 24 and charged with four counts of forgery, a class B felony.
On Sept. 28, 2012, the Nashua Police Department’s Uniform Field Operation’s Bureau took a report of a fraud at the Nashua Police Department. The suspect was reported to have stolen checks from the victim and cashed them at area banks with a forged signature. Upon further investigation by the Nashua Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division, the suspect was identified as Lauren Phillips. Phillips and the adult male victim are known to each other.
A class B felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. Phillips was held at the Nashua Police Department on $2000.00 cash or surety pending her arraignment at the 9th Circuit Court-Nashua District Division on March 25, 2013.
