A Dozen Students Come Down with Flu-like Symptoms at Greenland Central School
Several 5th graders had headaches and nausea at about the same time on Thursday morning, but were all released to their parents.

UPDATED, 3:30 p.m.: Nearly a dozen fifth grade students suffered headaches and nausea at Greenland Central School at about the same time on Thursday morning as Greenland firefighters tried to determine the cause.
The Union Leader reported that Greenland firefighters did not detect any gas odors inside the school and that Greenland Fire Chief Ralph Cresta later said he thought the children were suffering from the flu. The newspaper reported that none of the children needed to be hospitalized and all of them were released to their parents.

According to WMUR, Greenland firefighters were on scene and investigating the possible cause at the school that serves students from grades pre-K to 8. The television station also reported that emergency medical technicians were evaluating the sick students.
