Man Calls Police After Bat Gets Inside
The following information was supplied by Portsmouth Police. An arrest or charge does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Tuesday, July 30 to Wednesday, July 31.
Tuesday:
- At 10:01 a.m., police reported suspicious activity on Osprey Drive after the caller said someone cut a screen window on her house and damaged a bush outside while trying to gain entry.
- At 12:14 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on Middle Road after staff said a resident punched a glass window. Police arrested a 16-year-old juvenile and charged him with criminal mischief (vandalism).
- At 12:43 p.m., police arrested a Durham woman for drunken driving on Sagamore Avenue. Johna Nadeau, 44, of 3 Constable Road was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated (second offense) along with default or breach of bail conditions.
- At 12:43 p.m., police also reported criminal mischief on State Street after the caller said her vehicle was keyed.
- At 7:09 p.m., police reported a theft at the High Hanover Parking Garage after the caller said someone stole his laptop, iPad and a sketch book from his backpack that he accidentally left outside of his vehicle. When he returned, he saw those items had been taken from the backpack.
- At 8:23 p.m., police reported a motorcycle accident with injury on Crescent Way.
- At 9:42 p.m., police reported an animal call on Middle Street after the caller said he was struggling with a bat on the fifth floor.
- At 12:04 a.m., police assisted the Portsmouth Fire Department with a car fire in the Vaughn Mall parking lot that was fully involved. The owner of the vehicle was not inside the car or anywhere near the vehicle.
