Bournival Jeep Wants to Go Four-Wheeling
Dealership seeks city approval for a test drive track facility.
Bournival Jeep officials will ask the city's Board of Adjustment for a special variance that would allow them to build a test drive track on a lot next to their Lafayette Road dealership.
According to city documents, Bournival Jeep President Alissa Bournival wants to build a four-wheel drive course for SUVs on a lot adjacent to their business. Many of the vehicles they sell, including the 2013 Jeep Compass, Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Jeep Wrangler models offer off road driving.
The dealership's owners sell vehicles that have the capability to go off road and customers want to be able to test drive them before they buy. If approved, the test drive course would enable Bournival to offer this additional level of service.

City documents filed by the Bournval also indicate the proposal will have to undergo a site review by the Planning Board. Another issue that will be aired is the proposed test drive lot's close proximity to the Springbrook Condominium development.
The Board of Adjustment meeting is scheduled to take place at City Hall on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m.
