Powerball ticket sales for the $500 million jackpot continue to increase to near epic proportions across the state and at one Portsmouth convenience store that actually sold two winning $1 million Powerball tickets to the same customer last summer.
According to WMUR, Powerball ticket sales surpassed $700,000 on Sunday and Monday and eclipsed $300,000 on Tuesday by 2 p.m. A Cabot Street Market employee named Lou who has worked behind the counter for many years offered some sound advice for anyone who wins the ultimate Christmas gift, according to the television news station. Lou recommends people hire a tax attorney, change their telephone number and disappear.
