City Business to Change Address

Bobbles and Lace to move from Vaughn Mall location into former Stone Pony store on Congress Street.

Bill Mouflouze didn't think it would take him too long to find a new tenant for the former Stone Pony store on Congress Street after the former business closed last year. As soon as one business leaves downtown, another one is sure to follow.

On Tuesday, Valerie White, owner of Bobbles and Lace, signed a lease so she can relocate her store from its current Vaughn Mall location sometime next week. On Tuesday, she and Ally Washburn were busy getting their new 1,500 square foot space ready for the big move.

White said she opened her Portsmouth store in June and has always like the retail space, but she wasn't happy with the location. She believes that Bobbles and Lace, which also has stores in Marblehead, Boston, Newburyport and Andover, Mass., will see much more foot traffic on Congress Street.
