City Man Charged with Shoplifting Downtown

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Wednesday, Nov. 7 through Friday, Nov. 9.

Wednesday:

• At 10:55 a.m., police reported a theft on State Street after the caller said someone stole her wallet.
• At 3:51 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man for shoplifting on Congress Street. Nikkolaus Laliberty, 28, of 62 Osprey Drive in Portsmouth was charged with wilful concealment.
• At 5:01 p.m., police reported the theft of a purse on Gosling Road with a suspect.

Thursday:

• At 9:58 a.m., police arrested a 17-year-old juvenile on Columbia Street who was wanted as a fugitive from justice. The juvenile was wanted for a violation of probation or parole.
• At 12:14 p.m., police reported a burglary on Congress Street after the caller said someone broke into her residence.
• At 1:33 p.m., police arrested a 13-year-old juvenile for simple assault on Parrott Avenue.
• At 2:33 p.m., police reported a motor vehicle theft on Mirona Road.
• At 11:47 p.m., police reported a theft of a wedding ring and a cladder ring from a Cabot Street residence.

Friday:

• At 8:27 a.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice on Islington Street. Scott Tessier, 35, of 737 Islington St., Apt. 2, in Portsmouth was wanted on an arrest warrant.
• At 9:34 a.m., police reported criminal mischief at Prescott Park on Marcy Street after the caller said someone had removed an electrical panel handle on the Prescott Park Arts Festival stage and there was also some grafitti.
• At 5:10 p.m., police reported a theft of a wedding ring on Union Street.
