City Man Charged with Theft
Portsmouth Police supplied the following arrest information.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Wednesday, Feb. 27 through Thursday, Feb. 28.
Wednesday:
- At 12:21 p.m., police reported the theft of a laptop on Mirona Road.
- At 1:28 p.m., police reported several jewelry thefts on South Street.
- At 1:54 p.m., police reported a theft of a cell phone at the Bowl-a-Rama on Lafayette Road.
- At 7:15 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on Parrott Avenue after the caller said their car was keyed and a tire slashed.
- At 7:42 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth woman for shoplifting at a Lafayette Road business. Alexis Ellis, 25, of 3 Gosling Road in Portsmouth was charged with attempted theft.

- At 11:16 a.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice. Christopher Regan Jr., 20, of 226 Union St. in Portsmouth was wanted for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.
- At 1:32 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth woman for motor vehicle offenses on Miller Avenue and Middle Street. Amanda E. Nelson, 18, of 223 Austin St. in Portsmouth was charged with driving after revocation or suspension and operating with a suspended registration.
- At 1:58 p.m., police reported criminal mischief at Beechstone Apartments after the back window of a car was smashed overnight.
