City Public Works Crews Battle Blizzard

Shortly after announcing a snow emergency would go into effect on Friday evening, the city's Public Works Department crews began two days of snow removal downtown and elsewhere to stay ahead of Nemo.

With 2 feet of snow coming this weekend, public works crews operated sanders, sidewalk plows, pick-up truck snow plows and larger snow plow trucks throughout the city. As Nemo intensifies and delivers the heaviest snow fall on Friday night and Saturday morning, city residents will see even more public works crews and snow removal apparatus in action.
