City's Democratic Lawmakers Differ on Casino Gambling
State Sen. Martha Fuller Clark, D-Portsmouth, is against it, Rep. Laura Pantelakos, D-Portsmouth, favors it.
Foster's Daily Democrat is reporting that Portsmouth Democratic state lawmakers disagreed on whether New Hampshire should support expanded gambling during a legislative forum on Monday night at the Portsmouth Public Library.
The newspaper reported that while State Sen. Martha Fuller Clark, D-Portsmouth, and several other members of the city's legislative delegation are against casino gambling, Rep. Laura Pantelakos, D-Portsmouth, favors it and is co-sponsoring a bill that would permit a casino in the state.
