City Woman Charged in Stabbing

Portsmouth Police say that Dianne Walker stabbed an adult victim several times.

A Portsmouth woman was arrested on Tuesday after Portsmouth Police said she stabbed an adult victim several times.

Portsmouth Police Capt. Mike Schwartz said police responded to a 911 call at a home on Sherburne Road and found an adult victim who had been stabbed with a knife. The victim was treated at the scene and transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital by the Portsmouth Fire Department, he said. The victim was later released, according to police.

Dianne E. Walker, 55, of 510 Sherburne Road was charged with two counts of first degree assault. Schwartz said Walker was released on $10,000 personal recognizance and $500 cash bail and she is scheduled to be arraigned in the Portsmouth Circuit Court on March 4.
