City Woman Faces Drug, Alcohol Charges

Portsmouth Police supplied the following arrest information.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Friday, March 1 through Sunday, March 3.

Friday:

  • At 10 a.m., police reported criminal mischief on Manchester Square after the caller said her vehicle was keyed.
  • At 5:25 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth woman for motor vehicle offenses on Lafayette Road and Greenleaf Avenue. Linda Taylor, 48, of 907 Springbrook Circle in Portsmouth was charged with reckless operation, possession of controlled narcotic drugs, possession of drugs in a motor vehicle, and transportation of alcoholic beverages.
  • At 5:31 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man on a drug charge on Court Street. Cameron S. Robison, 22, of 140 Court St., Apt. 413, in Portsmouth was charged with possession of controlled narcotic drugs.

  • At 1:26 a.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man for motor vehicle offenses on I-95 northbound. Jermaine Shawn Brokenbrough, 32, of 62 Raleigh Way in Portsmouth was charged with disobeying an office, driving after revocation or suspension and operating without a valid license.
  • At 1:54 p.m., police arrested a Rye woman at a Lafayette Road business after she tried to leave the store with three bags of merchandise. Erica Bentley, 23, of 150 Lafayette Road in Rye was charged with unarmed robbery.
  • At 4:17 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth woman who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after she turned herself in at the police station. Tara Smith, 39, of 14 Gosling Road in Portsmouth was wanted for theft (removing merchandise from premises).
  • At 4:42 p.m., police arrested a Rye man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice. Adam Martin, 39, of 150 Lafayette Road, Apt. 20, in Rye was wanted on a bench warrant.

Sunday:

  • At 12:46 a.m., police arrested a Portsmouth woman for drunken driving on Middle Street and Summer Street. Julie L. Destefano, 42, of 220 Wibird St. in Portsmouth was charged with driving while intoxicated.
